HBF Planning Conference 2025

The must-attend event for everyone interested in residential planning

It has been another year of change and reform for the planning sector with the government bringing forward a range of new initiatives as they strive to deliver 1.5 million new homes in England.

The HBF Planning Conference will look to make sense of the wave of changes coming through and discuss what will – and what won’t – make the path to building those homes easier for housebuilders.

The Conference will look at the details of the reform of the National Planning Policy Framework, the return of mandatory targets, the definitions of “grey belt” and the implications of the “golden rules”.

Delegates and speakers will also discuss the details of the Planning and Infrastructure Bill as the government reiterates its determination to “back the builders, not the blockers”.

With HBF research showing planning permissions at a record low, this year’s HBF Planning Conference will look at how this might change, including examining:

  • The NPPF reforms
  • The Planning and Infrastructure Bill
  • Biodiversity Net Gain and its effects
  • Planning resource issues
  • The drive for affordable housing
  • And more….

Speaker details are starting be confirmed and the opportunity to book will be available very shortly.
