The conference began with a plenary session by Stewart Baseley, HBF Executive Chairman, before delegates were assembled into four smaller groups and rotated around four interactive workshops for the remainder of the day.
The residential event was held at the East Midland Conference Centre (EMCC), part of the Nottingham University Campus and began on 4 July with a networking buffet and evening quiz by John Slaughter, HBF's Director of External Affairs. As part of the package accommodation was provided in the Orchard Hotel, adjacent to the EMCC, before starting the next day's conference back at the EMCC.
There was plenty of opportunity for delegates to be able to network and share their experiences with like minded peers from within the industry.
