Michael has been in the industry for over thirty five years working in the UK for most of that period but also has experienced working in the Far East.
He started his career in the South East of England and moved to the South West twenty six years ago and since then successfully delivered homes in South Wales, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
Being successful in more than one sector of the of the housing development world he has a broad depth of experience including serving as a Councillor on Planning to being Managing Director of the Housing Division of Birse Group PLc. His particular uniqueness is in negotiating and facilitating the progress of complex projects from planning through to construction and disposal.
Presently Chairman of the HBF South West Planning Forum Michael works hard to improve communication between all stakeholders in the development process and sees Localism as a great opportunity.
Having worked for national house builders he has recently started with 'Partnership Housing South West' a business unit of Mansell Construction Services part of the Balfour Beatty Group.
Also Author of 'Culture and Performance, Who is Responsible' a book about Leadership, culture and its impact on business and people's performance.
He now lives in Exmouth with his partner Sue and his main hobby is singing, performing in many gigs around Exeter raising money for various charities.
