James has been with the HBF for ten years. James is a chartered town planner and is now the HBF's Director for Cities - a newly created role to help the industry engage with the newly created Metro Mayors and Combined Authorities. James was previously the HBF's Strategic Planner with responsibility primarily for London and the wider south east, but he also has extensive local plans and policy experience from all over England. James graduated from London South Bank University in 2007 with an MA distinction in town planning and was awarded RTPI student of his year.
