Ed Clarke

Ed Clarke was instrumental in establishing up the ANC registration scheme and was the driving force behind its implementation in time for the revised approved document in 2003. He chaired the first standing committee overseeing the scheme and then went on to the main ANC board, chairing the Association from 2006-2008. He is currently leading ANC discussions with CLG over future revisions to Approved Document E.

Aside from the Association, Ed is the technical director of Alan Saunders Associates, a well established and respected independent firm of acoustics consultants with a diverse portfolio of blue chip and private clients.  Consultancy fields in acoustics include building and planning, and also niche areas such as motorsport, gunshot noise and underwater noise impact assessment.
