Alyson Francis

Alyson has worked for the Welsh Government since devolution, in wide-ranging strategy, policy, corporate and operational delivery roles, from farming to counter terrorism, children and family policy to the Covid-19 Inquiry. She has worked with organisations and groups across Wales, with UK Government departments and other devolved governments. Since July 2025 she has been Director of Housing and Regeneration at the Welsh Government and more recently has also become the joint Head of Policy Profession for the Welsh Government.

Alyson was until recently a member of Bridgend and Cwm Taf Public Services Boards, and a Committee member of a local voluntary group at a historic country park.
