NHBC has announced its Pride in the Job 2024 Quality Award winners, celebrating the best UK site managers and their dedication to raising housebuilding standards.
Out of more than 8,000 sites, 449 winners have emerged as Quality winners, representing the top 5% of UK site managers, according to new homes warranty and insurance provider NHBC.
Pride in the Job is now in its 44th year, becoming the “benchmark” for exceptional site managers, NHBC said. Sites are rigorously assessed across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety. Thousands of inspections, “with meticulous scoring and detailed verifications”, were undertaken to determine the Quality champions.
Pride in the Job comprises five categories: small, medium and large builders, plus multi-storey for projects up to seven storeys and high-rise for projects of more than seven storeys.
The Quality Award winners will now go on to compete for the Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards in the autumn. The national Supreme Award winners will be revealed in January 2025.
