Lack of parking for new homes annoys buyers - NHBC

<p>New research to be released next month by the NHBC Foundation reveals that poor parking provision at new home developments results in significant reductions in customer satisfaction with their home builder.</p> <p>NHBC ceo Imtiaz Farookhi said: "NHBC Foundation has been investigating the root causes of customer satisfaction with new homes and has discovered a strong correlation between parking provision and lower customer satisfaction."</p> <p>Recent changes to planning policy allow local authorities to now set their own rules on parking provision. Farookhi said that the Foundation will not be advocating lifting all restrictions on car parking but called on planners to "learn from these findings, and, where seeking to limit parking provision, to do so in a measured way with proper regard for the well being of the families who live in the homes."</p>
