Attitudes to zero carbon report

Consumers living in low or zero carbon homes are largely happy with them, according to a new report from the NHBC Foundation into customer attitudes towards low and zero carbon, which surveyed owners of new and “enhanced” homes – those built to higher standards than Building Regulations. <br> <br> However the report also found that home owners’ attitudes to energy saving were still ambivalent, with few home buyers seeing the issue as a key factor in picking their next home. <br> <br> The report recommends that information on the cost savings of energy efficiency be made clearer and that lenders should take account of energy enhancements when buying a new home.<br> <br>
