The Vega Solar Bollard has been engineered for environments where reliability, design and sustainability matter. Standing at 900mm high with a 275mm head, its curved profile fits naturally into residential developments, pathways, gardens, hospitality settings and commercial outdoor spaces.

Whether installed along a walkway or positioned to highlight landscaping features, Vega adds visual interest without overwhelming the space.

At the heart of the Vega is a high-efficiency 5V/6.2W solar panel, engineered to capture maximum sunlight throughout the day. This energy is stored in a robust 38.4WH LiFePO₄ battery, a long-life, high-performance battery chemistry known for stability and reliability.

Together, they create a powerful off-grid system that eliminates the need for wiring, trenching or electrical connection. This not only reduces installation costs but also delivers energy-free lighting all year round.

The Vega produces 280 lumens from a highly efficient 1.5W LED, providing clear illumination exactly where it's needed. Its colour temperature range of 2200K to 6000K gives installers and designers the flexibility to create the right atmosphere, from warm, ambient glow to crisp, functional white light. This makes Vega suitable for both residential settings and more functional commercial applications.

What sets Vega apart is its built-in PIR motion sensor, which activates the bollard when movement is detected within 4–6 metres. This ensures light is available when needed whilst conserving stored energy when the space is empty. Combined with 5 & 24-hour charge/discharge cycles, the Vega can comfortably adapt to changing seasons and fluctuating sunlight levels, giving reliable performance even during the darkest winter months.

UK weather can be unpredictable, which is why the Vega is designed to operate between 10°C and +65°C. Its durable exterior, resists corrosion and ensures long term resilience in demanding outdoor environments. This makes it a strong choice for housebuilders, councils, hospitality venues and facilities managers looking for maintenance free lighting.

The Vega offers four lighting modes to suit different applications and energy requirements:

  1. 100% mode – Full brightness, on/off
  2. 25% mode – Dimmed output (on all the time when dark)
  3. PIR mode – Runs at 25% throughout the night, then boosts to 100% when motion is detected, returning to 25% after 60 seconds
  4. 0% off mode – Remains off until motion is detected, then switches to 100% for 60 seconds before turning off again
