GL Autumn 23 1

GL, one of the UK’s leading providers of electric energy solutions has announced an OEM deal with the world-renowned Sunsynk brand to produce a brand new energy storage system for the new-build housing industry.

The company which has been supplying electrical products to developers for more than 20 years, has a reputation of being a forward-thinking, trusted supplier. It now provides all-electric solutions to meet carbon-zero targets for new homes.

GridBuddy - an all-in-one box power storage solution has the latest hybrid inverter technology synchronised with a PO4 lithium battery.

Designed to be site-ready, it is a ‘plug and play’ product initially available in three models; 2.5kW to operate with 2-4 solar panels, 2.5kW for 4-6 panels and 3.6kW for 6-8 panels.

Anthony Ottway, MD of GL: “I have developed many products with Sunsynk and watched with interest as they developed energy storage systems. Bringing together their expertise and my knowledge of the new-build industry has led to the development of GridBuddy”.

In addition to its sleek and space-saving design, GridBuddy cuts no corners operationally, running on the award-winning software platform ‘Sunsynk Connect’. Through the app, users access real-time monitoring and energy consumption, while remote monitoring enables issues to be troubleshooted without any callouts.

Keith Geogh, CEO of Sunsynk: “Teaming up with GL, has been very exciting for us, GridBuddy will revolutionise large-volume rollouts of battery storage and is easy to install and is cost-effective”.
