Ruby Thompson

Ruby leads on planning policy in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Her team has overall responsibility for the National Planning Policy Framework and particular responsibility for planning for housing and the environment. Before this, she spent several years at the Treasury, working on the financial settlement with the EU and on welfare policy. She began her civil service career in the Department for Work and Pensions, having previously worked for PwC consulting and as a researcher for a Member of the European Parliament.
