Richard Crawley

Richard Crawley has been a programme manager of the Planning Advisory Service (PAS) since 2009. PAS exists to help councils understand and respond to the Government's planning reforms. This requires working across England at various organisational scales, a willingness to engage with new and difficult problems and a respect for the various stakeholders' perspectives and sovereignties. He has worked for the Local Government Group since 2007 and has led PAS's work on value for money, quality and performance. Previously he spent three years improving planning services in a London authority. Before joining local government he worked in operational management and ICT in the waste and construction sectors.
