Prof Sean Smith

Sean Smith is currently Director of the Institute for Sustainable Construction and Professor of Construction Innovation at Edinburgh Napier University. He is widely known for his role in the development of Robust Details and product innovations for the housing sector. He has previously served on the industry leadership group Construction Scotland, the 2020 Climate Group committees for Built Environment and Innovation and Infrastructure. He is currently co-chair and member of the Advanced Construction Group for the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, BIM Industry Task Group and is founding member of the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation and Retrofit Scotland.
