Peter Kemp
Peter Kemp led the digital transformation of planning in London as the Greater London Authority's former Head of Data and Digital for Planning and Place, a role he held for over seven years. He built the Planning London Datahub, tracking more than 120,000 developments a year across the capital, and the Planning Datamap, a shared GIS platform with over 2,000 layers used more than 50 million times. He also delivered PlanApps, including the first 3D integration used in UK planning, and LAND4LDN, a partnership across all 35 London boroughs to identify land for over 800,000 homes. Peter now leads the conversation on how to unblock and unlock the opportunities in digital planning enabling the delivery and wide-scale adoption of AI, increasing capacity in planning services, and growing the positive impact planning can have. He brings a rare combination of statutory planning expertise and practical experience delivering digital change at scale.
