Morag Ellis KC is an acknowledged leader specialising in Wales and England on planning, infrastructure, highways, rights of way, commons and local government law in general. Morag has appeared in many important inquiries and court cases on major Welsh projects, inlcuding representing the Welsh Government on the M4 inquiry and the developers on the Newport Parkway called-in application.

She is a past Chair of the Planning and Environment Bar Association, has given evidence to the Select Parliamentary Committee on the National Policy Statement on Ports and to the Welsh Assembly Senedd on the review of TAN 8 (Planning for Renewable Energy) and the Planning (Wales) Act 2015. She was invited to give evidence to the Planning Interim Advisory Group and, in 2015, to be a member of the PIanning Advisory and Improvement Service, both of which reported on the Welsh planning system to the Welsh Minister of the Environment in 2015.

Morag is a regular speaker and contributor to public debate on planning and has spoken at many RTPI Cymru events and for HBF Cymru.
