Michelle Hyde

Michelle is Managing Development of Backhouse an SME housebuilder developing in the South West. She has overall responsibility for delivering the strategic plan for the business. With nearly 30 years' experience across the new homes, development, sales and property sectors, Michelle has built a broad and diverse career, giving her extensive expertise in evaluating land opportunities, navigating the planning process and delivering successful schemes from inception through to completion.

Having held senior leadership positions for many years, Michelle has extensive experience in strategic business planning, budget management, risk management and governance. She has a strong track record of ensuring developments comply with local authority requirements, Homes England regulations and wider industry standards, while driving operational excellence and commercial performance.

Before joining Backhouse, Michelle held senior roles with several leading organisations across both the private and affordable housing sectors, including Abri, Galliford Try Partnerships, Stonewater and Linden Homes.
