Matthew is a chartered civil engineer with over 20 years of construction industry experience spanning civil and structural engineering design, infrastructure planning and urban regeneration.
During his earlier career, Matthew worked for a London-based consultancy with a diverse portfolio of engineering projects across the whole of the UK. These included the design of social housing renewal projects in the east end of London, designing the scheme for the pedestrianisation of the precinct to the Tower of London, and providing transport and infrastructure advice for the masterplan for regeneration of the historic Bletchley Park site in Milton Keymes.
In 2007 he joined Croudace Homes and now holds the position of Technical Director for the South Thames region. In this role he leads an in-house team of civil engineers and architectural technologists who are engaged in the production of working drawings and securing detailed approvals for the company’s development schemes.
Matthew has a keen desire to find more effective ways of working with highways authorities and, as such, he chairs the HBF’s Highways sub-group.
