Mark Jones was appointed to the position of Head of House-Building Standards in April 2012 he is responsible for developing and implementing NHBC's strategy to manage technical risk and raise house-building standards across the UK. This includes extensive analysis of data relating to defects in new homes both during and post construction, pre-empting future issues for the construction of new homes and informing and co-ordinating activity across the breadth of NHBC such as NHBC Standards, research and development, engineering and inspection policy, training, Builder Reports etc.
Mark is a Chartered Building Surveyor and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Mark has held a number of positions with NHBC including General Manager of NHBC's Technical Services covering Inspection, Engineering and Building Control across the UK, Director of NHBC Building Control Services Ltd and General Manager of NHBC Services covering H&S, Energy and Sustainability and testing services.
