Luke Turner is principal architect in the Technical Policy Division of the Building Safety Portfolio in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). Luke has worked in architecture and management roles within the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and MHCLG and has worked before that on transport, housing and set design projects in small to large sized practices. Luke’s policy focus is on Part M and Part Q of Building Regulations in England, and on policy work related to accessibility and inclusive design. This work connects with planning and housing policy for older and disabled people and with many building, housing and planning stakeholders. Luke’s policy work also involves safety, security and space standards for housing. Luke also sits on the British Standard B/559 - Design of an Accessible and Inclusive Environment. Luke is a RIBA chartered architect.
