Katy Read

Katy Read is the policy lead for Energy Performance of Buildings at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in the Heat in Buildings team. The team play a key role in fulfilling Clean Growth Strategy ambitions in relation to the decarbonisation of heat, as well as the implementation of the Buildings Mission. As part of this, her main areas of focus are the development of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP), and the review of Part L of the Building Regulations. Prior to this she worked on the Renewable Heat Incentive, both in BEIS and Ofgem.
