James McConnell

James has over 25 years work experience in planning, gained within both the public and private sectors.  His current post is as Regional Planning Director for worked at Bellway Homes, where he has now worked for over 12 years.  During this time his role has been to advise the company on land acquisitions, promote strategic land opportunities and deliver planning permissions on land acquired in the London and Home Counties area.  Prior to that James worked at the Home Builders Federation as a Regional Planner, representing house builders at Local Plan, Structure Plan and Regional Plan Examinations. James’ initial work experience was gained in the Development Management teams of several local authorities.
