Heather Stamp, NHER

Heather is the Zero Carbon R&D Manager within the NHER. Involved with domestic energy efficient for 9 years, Heather is now concentraing on the NHER new-build software and assessing low carbon homes for the Government's 2016 target.

From her initial investigations, Heather has determined that we do have the capability to reach the 2016 goal, but but we must draw on lessons learnt from the UK, Europe and beyond if we are to accelerate our learning.

The industry is agreed that moving to zero carbon within the timeframe is going to be tough. The NHER is committed to supporting the move to zero carbon, and currently see that the main barrier is the gathering and dissemination of knowledge.
