Gráinne Gilmore

Head of UK Residential Research, Knight Frank

Gráinne tracks, analyses and forecasts trends across the UK property market, producing bespoke research with a

particular focus on residential development.

Recent examples of market‐leading publications produced include an investigation into new‐build housing supply

across the country, an analysis of how those in the private rented sector would like to live with evidence from the

largest survey of UK tenants ever conducted, and a market report on the retirement housing sector.

international wealth creation and preservation, and is a co‐author of Knight Frank’s annual Wealth Report.

Gráinne helped develop the Knight Frank House Price Sentiment Index, which is produced in conjunction with IHS

Markit Economics. This index is seen as a bellwether for house price movements across the UK.

She is a regular commentator on housing trends in the press and on broadcast media, most recently appearing

on the Today Programme ‐ BBC Radio 4, BBC Breakfast, BBC World Business Report, Sky News Arabia and Ian

King Live on Sky News.
