Deeley Group was founded almost 90 years ago by Eleanor’s Grandfather, to build air raid shelters and then rebuild homes and schools in Coventry. In the last 10 years the Group has delivered 870 homes, over 1,100 care beds and retirement living units, 540,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, 305,000 sq. ft. of retail.
Eleanor has over 25 years' experience in the Midlands development market, focusing on brownfield and complex development projects working for clients of CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield. Eleanor Joined Deeley Group in 2019 and has led the business in its focus on later living, which has enabled the business to expand and deliver secure its’ largest scheme of 137 apartments.
Eleanor has led the business on a new strategy of organic growth with 26% of staff having been through the apprentice and further learning programme delivering a doubling of turnover in four years of which 90% is from repeat clients.
Eleanor was Insider Media’s Property Personality of the Year 2024, and 2023 Freeth’s’ UK Woman with Edge winner. She is a Governor of Lincoln University, and a Trustee of University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Charity. Eleanor is also a regular contributor on the Radio 4 Today Programme and Wake up to Money (BBC Radio 5).
