Cian Bryan

Cian Bryan is a Director at Planning Futures, of which he was a founder in 2015. He leads on the organisation’s research work.  He recently completed a major project on planning department capacity in England and currently working on a companion piece on delivery through the planning system at local authority level.

Prior to joining Planning Futures, Cian held a number of teaching and research roles and has a background in political science and sociology as well as holding an MSc in International Planning from the Bartlett School of Planning at UCL.  Consequently, he has a keen interest in the role of governance and politics in planning, which he has explored throughout his research in planning.
