An initiative set up to increase the number of women in housebuilding has extended the deadline of its mentorship programme by a week.
The I am a Housebuilder initiative, established by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for SME Housebuilders in March this year, is offering the mentorship, pairing women working in the housebuilding/construction sector with senior female leaders from SME housebuilders. The deadline for applications now closes on Friday October 4 at 5pm.
The I am a Housebuilder mentorship programme aims to make the housebuilding industry a more inclusive environment, allowing women to excel and rise to leadership positions. In the long term, the initiative seeks to increase the number of SME housebuilders to tackle the skills shortage and aid housing delivery.
Seven female SME housebuilding founders and managing directors are leading the campaign, each of whom run successful SME housebuilders.
