William Davis secures land for 1,500 new homes

<p>William Davis <span>Homes</span> has secured land for more than 1,500 new homes during 2020.</p> <p>Despite an exceptionally challenging year, the East-Midlands based housebuilder said it had <span>finalised different types</span> of deals across the Midlands, showing its “versatility”. </p> <p>These include the purchase of a site in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, <span>consented </span>for 180 new homes, and off-market acquisitions – purchased before going on the open market – including a site for 34 dwellings at Lodge End, Loughborough.</p> <p>Other secured deals include a competitive short term acquisition of land for 183 dwellings at Castle Donington, North West Leicestershire from Clowes Developments. The site has planning consent.</p> <p>And William Davis has negotiated a build licence agreement with Urban and Civic for 146 homes in Houlton, near Rugby. Under such an agreement, payments to the landowner are released as homes are sold.</p> <p>The business said that deals were pending on another four short term sites with outline consent.
