Will the mystery of Opus Dei’s links to the Building Regulations be revealed?

<b> </b><p><b></b>The timing of Ruth Kelly’s appointment to head up the new government office that will deal with planning and Building Regulations, coincident with the general release of the film of The Da Vinci Code, is something that Dan Brown will surely not allow to pass unnoticed. What this means is that, from now on, a senior figure in Opus Dei, a movement identified as a secretive and sinister religious cult in the film of the book, will now make the final call on things such as minimum heights of guarding to balconies and stairways, internal dimensions of manholes and inspection chambers; and mechanical ventilation to internal bathrooms and kitchens. </p> <p>Perhaps the author of DVC will be able to find a meaningful and magical solution to the riddle wrapped up in an enigma that is hidden in the new Part L, in a way that has so far eluded the elders of the Knights Templar; and also the officers of the BRE?
