Weston Group has launched a partnerships division as it expands into Build to Rent and other living sectors.
The Weston Partnerships division will foster development partnerships and joint ventures for funds managing Build to Rent (BTR) portfolios.
It also aims to work with local authorities and businesses including later living housebuilders, student accommodation providers, local builders and contractors seeking MMC (modern methods of construction) building components for housing delivery.
And it will develop partnerships for Ministry of Defence (MoD) site disposals.
Weston said it would utilise its new build, conversion and offsite expertise including British Offsite, its MMC construction factory facility, “to deliver high-quality, sustainable housing solutions at scale”.
It also said the division had started to establish “key partnerships” in its target sectors. These include a partnership with Royal London Asset Management for the delivery of 411 BTR properties across two schemes, Bracknell Beeches and Town Quay, Barking. Weston Homes will oversee the construction.
In the local authority housing sector, Weston Partnerships has forged an agreement with Barking and Dagenham Council – through the council’s regeneration arm, Be First – to produce local authority affordable housing in Town Quay, Barking, on a “turn-key” basis. Weston Homes …
