Wavensmere Homes and its associated special purpose vehicles (SPVs) achieved a “record” turnover of £105 million in 2024, with brownfield development land in the process of being secured poised to deliver 1,500 new homes.
During the year ending December 31 2024, the Birmingham-headquartered SME which specialises in urban regeneration, exceeded 2023’s £100 million turnover, completing 476 houses and apartments.
It handed over 96 houses and 380 apartments to customers across its £175 million Nightingale Quarter scheme in Derby city centre, the £106 million Belgrave Village development in central Birmingham and at its £130 million Barrelman’s Point scheme, the redevelopment of HMS Ganges on the Shotley Peninsula in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Nightingale Quarter’s five-year build programme will end in November 2025, with 16 of the 925 homes currently remaining for sale. According to Wavensmere, the development is one of the Midlands’ largest live residential projects. Nightingale Quarter was originally the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary hospital.
The housebuilder is set to complete construction of Belgrave Village in the spring. During November alone, more than a quarter of the 174 houses and 238 apartments were handed over to customers.
