Wates launches portal for sustainable innovations

<p>Wates Group has launched a network to connect companies directly with partners that offer solutions to help meet sustainability targets.</p> <p><span>The group of construction, development and property services firms said that the </span><a href="https://www.wates.co.uk/wates-innovation-network/">Wates Innovation Network (WIN) portal</a><span> would create “an industry leading network that will accelerate the transition to net zero by showcasing smarter solutions to design, construct and maintain buildings”.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Wates’ network currently consists of 42 innovation partners, approved by a screening panel, offering solutions such as systems to improve energy efficiency and “circular economy” office furniture. Users can find their suitable product and supplier using the portal’s filters.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>This builds on the Wates Sustainable Technology Services (WSTS) offering, which for the past eight years has connected businesses with “tech-led innovations”. Wates said that through WSTS, a leading UK bank had identified 20 potential sustainable systems to help reduce its carbon footprint across more than 1,300 buildings. And organisations including Barings, Merseyside Police and Wates itself had used the WSTS to improve efficiencies and develop new climate pledges.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>“The new online portal will streamline this process with a more dynamic and efficient customer experience, enabling the group to better support partners in providing tangible environmental and operational savings,” …
