<p>Wates Group has launched a network to connect companies directly with partners that offer solutions to help meet sustainability targets.</p> <p><span>The group of construction, development and property services firms said that the </span><a href="https://www.wates.co.uk/wates-innovation-network/">Wates Innovation Network (WIN) portal</a><span> would create “an industry leading network that will accelerate the transition to net zero by showcasing smarter solutions to design, construct and maintain buildings”.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Wates’ network currently consists of 42 innovation partners, approved by a screening panel, offering solutions such as systems to improve energy efficiency and “circular economy” office furniture. Users can find their suitable product and supplier using the portal’s filters.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>This builds on the Wates Sustainable Technology Services (WSTS) offering, which for the past eight years has connected businesses with “tech-led innovations”. Wates said that through WSTS, a leading UK bank had identified 20 potential sustainable systems to help reduce its carbon footprint across more than 1,300 buildings.
