Vistry’s Roger Morton joins Willmott Dixon

<p>Roger Morton, formally Vistry’s group change director, has joined Willmott Dixon as its director of strategic change.</p> <p><span>Morton boasts a 25-year career as an officer in the Corps of Royal Engineers. After this, he held senior, people-focused posts at Bovis Homes from 2016 before the firm’s merger with Galliford Try’s housebuilding businesses in 2020 to form Vistry Group. At Vistry he was group performance director before becoming group change director.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>He was winner of </span><i>Housebuilder’s</i><span> inaugural Star Award as part of the Housebuilder Awards in 2019. As Bovis’ performance director, Morton was praised for achieving considerable operational and commercial success in developing people and changing behaviours, from no previous housebuilding experience. He was also applauded for his passionate interest in mental health and wellbeing issues.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>At Willmott Dixon, a privately-owned contracting and interior fit-out group which is also a specialist residential builder</span><span>, Morton will work with John Waterman, chief operating officer of the company’s construction and interiors businesses, to implement strategies to support the company’s future growth.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Waterman said: “I’m delighted to welcome Roger to our senior team.
