Vistry appoints group people director

<p><span>Vistry Group has appointed Danica McLean as group people director, a newly created role to help propel the company’s “people strategy”.</span></p> <p><span>McLean, who joined Bovis Homes (now part of the enlarged Vistry group) nine years ago as senior HR officer, will lead the company’s Human Resources, Resourcing, Payroll &amp; Benefits and Learning &amp; Development teams. She will directly report to Graham Prothero, Vistry’s chief operating officer.</span></p> <p><span>The business explained that part of its people strategy was focused on staff retention, development and wellbeing. “Vistry’s vision is to make sure employees are at the forefront of decision making, and its investment in the development and training of people to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce is a key priority,” it said.</span></p> <p><span>To this end, it has recently established a mentoring programme to encourage personal growth. It has also introduced a Women’s Network, set up by two members of the Learning &amp; Development team to provide opportunities for women to connect and support each other within Vistry.</span></p> <p><span>Graham Prothero said: “Our people are the key to everything we achieve at Vistry.
