UK’s tallest residential tower planned for London

Beetham Organisation is hoping to build the country’s tallest residential building in the London borough of Southwark. It has submitted plans for a £500 million, 68 storey (226m) tower for a site on the south bank of The Thames near Blackfriars Bridge. The glass edifice, designed by Ian Simpson Architects, includes a public gallery on the top floor and accommodation ranging from penthouse suites and a six star hotel to affordable housing.
