<br/> <b>Name?</b> Tony Howard <p></p><p><b>Job title?</b> Managing director </p><p><b>Company?</b> JW Stratton </p><p><b>Family?</b> Teresa, my long suffering wife of 33 years, two daughters aged 28 and 30 and two delightful grandsons, aged two and six </p><p><b>First job in the industry?</b> Trainee architectural technician for a local architect in Worthing. It was very enjoyable but I was just a tea boy in those days. I’ve come along way since then and have been at JW Stratton for 30 years. The company is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. </p><p><b>Favourite project and why?</b> Fisherman’s Village, Sovereign Harbour North, Eastbourne, inspired by my favourite wharf in Punta Gorda, Florida. The site manager deservedly won an NHBC pride in the job award in 2004. </p><p><b>Most crucial element of a house – or most crucial to get right?</b> Not surprisingly the kitchen and bathroom for the ladies, but also plenty of wardrobe space built into all principle bedrooms – definitely a vote winner. </p><p><b>What makes you laugh?</b> My grandchildren. They are always a bundle of joy and never ending fun. </p><p><b>Your biggest mistake?</b> Believing that the dot.com market was sustainable.
