Jeremy Gates takes a look </b></b><br><b>In the Readers' Digest Touring Guide for the British Isles, only the sharp-eyed will spot the tiny Dorset hamlet of Hazelbury Bryan, just south of the broad sweep of the Blackmoor Vale. But it provides the next significant chapter in the tale of Emlor Homes, founded in 1994 by Spencer and Clinton McCarthy. </b><br><b><b>Home patch</b></b><br> Though the brothers, sons of retirement housing king John McCarthy, might look like highly professional yuppies going places in the City, their home patch is actually the small communities and honey-coloured stone buildings of Thomas Hardy's Wessex, mainly in the 25-mile wide corridor between Sherborne and Dorchester. <p></p><p>Emlor, currently based in Lymington and soon to move to a new HQ beside the River Avon at Ringwood, will surely move its focus eastwards in due course to wallow in the breathtaking property prices of Poole Bay and the New Forest.</p><p> This feels like a small company however, keen to set down its …
