Survey shows local support for new homes

The British public are far more supportive of new housing developments in their area than commonly thought, according to a new report from the National Housing and Planning Advisory Unit (NHPAU). <br> <br> The report – Public Attitudes to Housing – finds that more than three quarters of people would support more homes being built in their area provided local services such as GP surgeries and schools do not suffer. <br> <br> The report will be seen as a boost to the government’s policy of giving decisions on new home building back to local communities.<br>
