<p>Galliford Try increased housing completions by 59% in 2011 to a record 1,352 units as the firm continues its three year housebuilding expansion plan.</p> <p>In a strong set of results, GT - which builds under the Linden Homes brand now - increased its margin in the period to 11% (2010:6.5%) and increased profit before tax by 89% to £32.2 million. Sales are up 34% and forward sales up 63%.</p> <p>Chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: "The Group is confident that it is on track to deliver all the objectives of its three year housebuilding expansion plan during the current financial year with our southern biased business performing strongly despite the economic uncertainty. The housing market has remained resilient and we are encouraged by the continued strength of the market during the first seven weeks of 2012."</p>
