<p>Colin Wood has been appointed chief executive of Carlisle-based Story Homes.</p><p><span>Wood was most recently chief operating officer of the business and previously regional managing director. Fred Story, founder of the company who returned as ceo in 2018, resumes his role as chairman.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Under Wood’s leadership, the privately-owned housebuilder will continue with its growth plans, involving increasing output by nearly 50% to more than 1,200 homes by 2024.</span></p><p></p><p><span>In-house recently awarded the five-star housebuilder a “Gold” customer service satisfaction rating “representing the builder’s commitment to quality and providing the highest level of service to its customers,” Story Homes said.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Wood commented: “Story Homes is a fantastic business to be a part of and I’m looking forward to continuing to work alongside the regional divisions as we push forward with our growth plans, while keeping quality at the forefront of everything we do.</span></p><p></p><p><span>“We’re in a great position as a business, we have the right people in place, robust processes and house types that meet our customers’ needs and aspirations.”</span></p><p></p><p><span>Fred Story said: “Since joining Story Homes over three years ago, Colin has played a significant role in ensuring the success of the business, and he has been instrumental in the implementation of our new processes and …
