Stewart Milne Construction secures £4 million Inverness contract

Stewart Milne Construction has secured a £4 million contract with Servite Housing Association and Highland Council to build 50 new low carbon homes in Inverness. <br> <br> The contractor will deliver a mix of one and two-bedroom flats on behalf of the housing association, plus an additional range of one, two and three-bedroom properties for Highland Council. Using closed panel timber frame construction, all properties in the development will incorporate the highest standards of insulation and airtightness, providing tenants with an energy efficient living solution. <br> <br> Using Stewart Milne Timber Systems' Sigma II build system, the Servite Housing Association properties will meet the Ecohomes "Excellent" standard. Throughout the design and build process, Stewart Milne Construction will be responsible for meeting the stringent Ecohomes ratings which are based on environmental performance, health and safety and quality of living. <br> <br> The project, which recently commenced, is due for completion in April 2012.<br> <br>
