Part G, Part A and Part C<br> <br> The proposed changes to Part G (hygiene) due to come into effect on October 1, have been postponed until April 1 next year. Dave Mitchell, technical director of the HBF, explained that the European Commission Directive had questioned elements of the technical guidance and whilst this was being examined, the changes would be put on hold until the next allotted time. Building Regulations Part G deals with water conservation, food preparation areas and hot water storage installations. Also, the consultations for Parts A (structure) and C (site preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture) have been scrapped.
