St Modwen’s housebuilding and strategic land combine for growth

<p><span>St Modwen’s housebuilding business is combining with the company’s strategic land arm, as the housebuilding component aims to double in size over the next five years.</span></p> <p><span>Property investment and development business St Modwen said that experts from its standalone business, Strategic Land and Regeneration, would merge with St Modwen Homes “to accelerate growth”.</span></p> <p><span>Last year, St Modwen </span><span>Homes</span><span> delivered </span><span>1,187 </span><span>new homes and is currently selling homes across 24 sites. The business said it was making “significant land acquisitions” to drive its growth strategy.</span></p> <p><span>It added that in its structural change it was bringing together “internal capabilities” in land buying, planning, pre-construction and customer delivery.</span></p> <p><span>The group noted St Modwen Homes’ five-star customer satisfaction rating, “award-winning” health and safety track record and “progressive and sustainable approach to housebuilding”.</span></p> <p><span>St Modwen also has a logistics business which in 2021 delivered 1.4m sq ft of new warehouse space.</span></p> <p><span>In August 2021, the group was acquired by alternative asset manager Blackstone.
