St James submits plans for Southside

<br/> St James Homes has submitted a detailed planning application for the first phase of Southside urban quarter, which will be the biggest private sector residential community built in Reading. St James has outline consent to develop 850 homes on the site, and phase one will comprise 405 homes, community facilities and retail development, as well as "work incubator" units for start-up businesses, all centred on a continental style urban piazza. If approved, the development will start on site in October.
