Springfield chair Alexander William Adam and Gleeson chair James Thomson have been recognised in the King’s New Year’s Honours list.
Thomson, who is a non-executive director at the Serious Fraud Office, received a CBE for services to policing and inclusion.
Thomson was formerly chair of the City of London Police Authority Board, chair of the National Cyber Resilience Centre Group and a board member for the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners.
He is a councillor at the City of London Corporation, a board member of Bridge House Estates Trust and a governor at the City of London School.
Thomson was appointed ceo of Gleeson in 2019, before becoming chairman in 2023.
Adam was awarded an OBE for services to the construction industry in Scotland. Chairman of the Moray-based business since 2004, he led Springfield through its transformation from a market garden business into a housebuilder in 1988.
He has also, according to Springfield, been the driver behind many of the company’s key commercial decisions, including its focus on affordable housing and the acquisition of companies including Mactaggart & Mickel.
