With more than 17 years experience of building control for housebuilding and its more recent foray into non-residential work in 1997, the company has built up a reservoir of experience and expertise which it has developed into a thoroughly modern service offering added-value extras.</b><br><b><b>a one-stop-shop</b></b><br> NHBC was the first Approved Inspector, and is the UK&amp;’s largest. Its size is one of its greatest assets, enabling staff to provide a full service across England and Wales. Within NHBC the building control function can draw on a pool of more than 400 technical staff, whose work also encompasses inspections and surveying for NHBC warranty purposes. The building control service is set up to be a one-stop-shop. This means that NHBC can give a single answer to a type approval, without any requirement to reapply in different areas of the country.
