The shortlist for the nine categories of the Housebuilder Awards have been announced, with Barratt and Crest Nicholson making a strong showing this year. <br> <br> Barratt is shortlisted in four categories including Best Low or Zero Carbon initiative and Best Design, where the firm will compete with subsidiary company David Wilson Homes. <br> <br> Crest has three shortlistings including Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year and Best Regeneration for its Park Central project in Birmingham. <br> <br> In addition to a strong showing by the bigger developers, many smaller firms have been shortlisted for the awards which are now in their sixth year and have become much sought after. Story Homes, Telford Homes, the William Lacey Group and C-Zero are among those featuring on this year's list, which is in full on page 16. <br> <br> The winners will be announced at London's Millennium Mayfair Hotel on the evening of November 3.
