The Sirius is a new range of coloured undermount sinks from Franke which have been designed to look and feel as luxurious as ceramic or Fragranite – but at a fraction of the cost, the kitchen company claims.<br> <br> They are made from Tectonite, a new silky smooth material from Franke. Suitable for the budget conscious customer, the Sirius comes in Polar White, Coffee and Carbon Black and a choice of three single bowl models and a 1½ bowl model.<br> <br> Tectonite complements Franke's new generation of worktops which are coloured, lighter and easier on the purse than heavy granite, Franke says. The sinks are lighter and the new worktops can therefore support them.<br> <br> There is no loss of quality or durability - a Tectonite sink can withstand temperatures of up to 300ºc before a mark is visible and dirt/liquid is not absorbed or retained even after a period of 48 hours, Franke claims.
