Scott Black appointed PfP's COO

<p><span>Places for People’s Scott Black has become the organisation’s first chief operating officer.</span></p><p><span>Black has been promoted to the post after joining the affordable homes-led placemaking company in spring 2020 as group executive director – development. In the new role, he will continue his development responsibilities while assuming leadership of PfP’s affordable housing business.</span></p><p><span>This change follows the departure of </span><span>Debi Marriot-Lavery, group executive director for affordable housing. She was with the business for seven years.</span></p><p><span>Black is responsible for delivering around 2,000 homes per year across six regional businesses serving the UK, and now leads on PfP’s strategic partnership with Homes England, set to deliver around 6,000 homes over the next ten years. </span></p><p><span>A chartered architect with 25 years’ experience in the development industry, Black was previously md of Crest Nicholson Regeneration, under which he steered major projects and regeneration schemes.
