Regupol announces New Robust Detail Screed Isolation

May 1, 2013
CMS Danskin has launched Regupol Quietlay, its Robust Detail approved (E-FC-15) screed isolation material for precast floors, compatible with all screed types.

CMS Danksin says that despite being an extremely sturdy material – density 755kg/m3, Tensile Strength of approximately 0.55N/mm2, "elongation at break" of approximately 78% and "stress at 30% compression" of approximately 0.9N/mm2 – Regupol Quietlay is surprisingly flexible. This means, rather than requiring separate perimeter strips, Regupol Quietlay can be folded up at the edge to fully isolate the screed layer from the wall. This represents a potential reduction of 5–10% in installation costs, CMS Danskin claims.

With the majority of new housebuilding projects in the UK requiring a Code for Sustainable Homes assessment in order to secure funding or local authority approval, the supply of responsibly sourced products has become a priority, the company says. It adds that Regupol Quietlay, a 100% recycled and recyclable product, is certain to contribute to a construction project's green credentials.

www.cmsdanskin.co.uk
